Gold Fever

I'm sick with Gold Fever. The only cure is a weekend up in the hills panning and minning for gold. This Friday I'll set out on a journey and I'm sure it will end in disappointment. My friend KC and I will head for Dahlonega and go prospecting for gold. I've read two books on the subject and watched a TV show on the History Channel about Georgia's Golden hills and rivers. If anyone is reading this please check back after this weekend so I can write about my failure or fortune. Remember the true meaning of RISK.

Risks: If you never try anything new, you'll miss out on many of life's great disappointments.

Longboarding and Lunch

Today I took my longboard to work. I decided to ride that to Wendy's instead of my car. When I got to the drive thru the lady said I needed to come inside to order. She said I needed to be in a vehicle. I told her this was my vehicle. I had run out of gas a few days ago and this was my main source of transportation. She fell for it and let me order at the drive thru. That line probably wouldn't have worked if the whole city of Atlanta wasn't out of gas but it is. Jessee 1 Wendy's 0. I win!!!

Blogging Once More

I met a real life Soup Nazi!!!

Only he was selling Burgers at a Burger King last Saturday. I took my sister and dad to a scooter store to show them what I was going to buy. A Stella. Enjoy the link.

On the way back we stopped for lunch and this guy was so stinking rude. So I told him how rude he was, and he refused to serve me. I would talk to him and he would just turn his back until I was done. I felt so mad if my family wasn't there I would have pissed on his counter. Or something crazy like that. I don't know for sure. I kept the the anger inside and added to the bottle that will one day explode and you might see me on the evening news. jk on that part.

FYI for those who know, I'm legal once again. It feels really good. For those who don't know, you will continue to not know what I'm talking about. But if you really want to know: I killed a man and they have been looking for me ever since... and all the charges were dropped if I promised not to hurt the judges family... I might have made all this crap up or it could all be true.

Random Thoughts

For the first time in my life I forgot to close the gas door on my car. I put the cap back on but forgot to close the stupid lid/door. I have never done this before and when I see other people driving around with their gas doors open. I think to myself, "How could they be so Dumb".
The only possible reason I can think of to justify my stupid behavior is that my mind and body were in a state of shock from the total expense of my fill up.

I love the fact the Braves swept the Mets.

I spilt my coffee this morning, I really hate this. I think this was divine intervention. I'm trying to quit the coffee and switch to hot green tea. Serves me right I suppose.
Last thought of the day. I just clicked my spell check button and it thinks Mets is misspelled. what a world....
Also, very last thought I hope. I had a key made for my apartment yesterday and the stupid thing doesn't work. How hard is it to match up two keys. These keys weren't even close to similar. It's not like these people are matching up complicated DNA strands to properly identify a human being. There just looking at two keys for crying out load. Two stinking keys!!!
I need prayer...

EARTH HOUR

I went ahead and signed up for earth hour. I will always be on the fence about global warming. There are so many arrows pointing towards it, but at the same time there are many facts that tell another story. I just want to see if there will be a big difference in just one hour, of non wasted energy all over the world. I know for a fact everyone is guilty of leaving on unused lights in there home. I used to be the biggest waster of electricity in the world until I started paying all the bills when I moved out at 18. Now days if I walk out of a room I turn off the light. I also use energy saving light bulbs that last for years and years only cost a little more and uses 1/2 the energy. last month my electric bill was $20.02. I remember when I was getting lazy about energy usage my electric bill would be around $60.00 every month for my apartment. It is now 2/3 less. Go ahead and make small changes for big differences.
If for nothing else try this to help yourselves save a little extra cash.

Fair Taxation

I am starting to read more on the Fair Tax Bill. No strong opinion yet, BUT I do like the idea of keeping my whole pay check. The FairTax taxes us only on what we choose to spend on new goods or services, not on what we earn. I also like the fact that this would give more power to the individual. I am always for less government. I care about myself in a way the government could never match. So let me take care of myself in a way the government could never match too. While at the same time help the Government with Social Security and Medicare funding.
